Helen: I don't know how much info you have re the marriage of John and Mary, however, if you go to http://www.bcarchives.gov.bc.ca/index.htm you will be able to do a search. Scroll down to "Genealogy" and then click on "Vital Event Indexes". You can view and copy the marriage registration at the Vancouver Public Library, or perhaps you might even be able to order online from the Vital Index site. Ordering online is a new service so you will have to read the instructions on the site. The registration might give you additional information with regard to previous places and dates of residence, etc., parents' names and ??? All could be quite useful to you in your search.
