Hi John, re your query Margaret Cowin, I am researching Louis Henry Cowell born I O M IN 1871 OR 1876. I have found a margaret Cowin born Kirk Braddan in 1794 she married Thomas Cain their daughter Margaret Cain was born in1816. She married Joseph Kewley on20 2 1836 Their son Edward Kewley married Hannah Hodgson then later married a second time Emily Maria Cowell daughter of William Cowell, it appears that they had at least 5 children before they married, my grandfather being one of them. My mother always said that he had been :born the wrong side of the bedclothes: I still have to do more research to confirm I have the right Emily Cowell. I do know that the family was very involved with the Kewleys, Ithink my grandfather was possibly brought up by his grandfather William, Hope this is of some help yours David E Brown
