Note the rental book had two columns - one for Rent (in pence) and the other for Hens ( a hangover from the days when tenants paid in kind , the book has a price equivalent for the various rents paid in kind).
This book appears to have been in use until 1866 - #26 (Michael Street) shows the major development of this plot.
The Abbeyland properties in Peel comprise the area approximately bounded by Market Street, the Shore, Bridge Street and Michael Street.
