Arthur Hill Holme, 1814-1857

Liverpool based architect, son of a Liverpool builder, trained under Thomas Rickman of Birmingham (Rickman had opened a Liverpool office in 1817). Brief partnership with John Cunningham in 1834. Designed several churches in Liverpool as well as other buildings - founder member of the Liverpool Architectural Society in 1844. Designed Falcon's Nest Hotel at Port Erin in 1857.

Pupil George Holme (1822-1915) designed the1865 extensions to King Williams's College.
