See Parish Index page for description, links to 19th century directories etc.

Kirk Patrick - St. Patrick

Kirk Patrick - St. Patrick

Outstanding landmark on this part of coast - though the tower is now showing some signs of breaking away from the body and for a time in 1999 it was thought unsafe (Its future is still somewhat uncertain but is now considered safe).
Begun 1813 and consecrated 1829. Built using material from old church (likely dedication was 'Kirk Christ') on adjacent site which itself was near the site of a keeill (remains still visible).
Porch added 1940 to house fine collection of Crosses including Sigurd Cross.
Churchyard contains Norse burial mound.
