Myrgeddin NELLY TAGGART
va oanluckit ayns shoh er yn
nah laa jeh yn chied vee jeh
yn vlein hoght cheead yeig as
jees da-eed : yn eash eck
Threefeed blein as three jeig.
Ta yn chlagh shoh currit
liorish ILLIAM TAGGART jeh
yn Voney Vollagh
Skeeyll y Conaghyn ayns

TRANSLATION (by S.M.)

In Memory of
ALICE TAGGART
who was buried here on
the twenty-seventh day of
the foremost month of winter,*
in the year eighteen hundred
and ten: her age
fourscore and nineteen years,
Also NELLY TAGGART
who was buried here on the
second day of the first month of
the year eighteen hundred and
forty-two : her age
threescore end thirteen years.
This stone has been placed
by WILLIAM TAGGART, of
the Moaney Mollagh,
Parish of Conchan, in
memory of them.

*Foremost month of winter, i.e., November.
