CHAPTER XVI.

THE LORD’S ATTORNEY-GENERALL, SETT DOWN BY HIMSELFE.

 

THE lord’s attorney is to plead and to stand for ye lord his proffit in all cases ; and in cases of widdowss and infants who have cases in court.

He ought to bee in all courts, both spirituall and temporall, to take of ye fines forfeitures to ye lord.

He is to take care of all wayfes and strays, felons’ goods, deodandes, wrecks of sea, and such like, wch are due unto ye lord by his prerogative ; and ye lord’s receiver and he to sell and dispose of them to ye lord’s best proffitt, and to prsent ye vallues from time to time to ye controwler, yt he may put ye monyes due for them out in ye next charge.
