GRANT OF THE ISLE OF MAN TO HENRY DE BELLO MONTE FOR LIFE. A.D. 1312.

 

 

THE King for the good service, etc., has granted to Henry de Bello Monte, all the land of Man, to hold for the term of his life freely and peaceably, with all dominion and royal eommand, with knight's fees and all other appurtenances, etc., by the service which the lords of the land aforesaid were accustomed to render to the kings of Scotland.

R. p bono svicio, etc., concessit Henr' de Bello Monte totara tram de Man hend' ad totam vitaet suam lise et in pace cum omi dnico et justie' regali cum feodis militum et omnibz aliis ptin' etc. p `svicia que dni tre pdce regibz Scoc' inde face consuever'.
