TO GILBERT MAKASKILL, KEEPER OF THE ISLE OF MAN RESPECTING THE DELIVERY OF MONEY. A.D. 1312

 

 

THE King to his beloved and faithful Gilbert Makaskill, keeper of his land of Man, greeting. We command you to deliver to our beloved clerk Gilbert de Bromley, receiver of our stores in the parts of Karlile, all our money which ye may receive at our command from our beloved and faithful Henry de Bello Monte, or from his lieutenant in the land aforesaid, and other which ye may be able to raise for our assistance before the term of St. Martin next ensuing, and during the said term, for the procuring and purchasing of victuals for our use, as on our part is more fully enjoined him. And we will cause a due allowance to be made to you in your account.

By the King himself and all the council.
