Command to Sheriff of Lancaster re King of Mann, 1206

COMMAND TO THE SHERIFF OF LANCASTER TO ASSIGN TO THE KING OF MANN THIRTY MARCATES OF LAND.—A.D. 1206.

THE King, etc., to Gilbert, son of Renfrew, Sheriff of Lancaster, greeting. We command you to assign to the King of Mann xxx marcates* of land in your bailliage, and when you shall have so assigned them, to inform us where and what lands, that we may make a charter for him, since we have given them to him for his homage and service. Witness : G., son of Peter, at Lambeth, 28 April.
