1754. INSUFFERABLE AND INSOLENT BEHAVIOUR IN COURT OF MARGARET COLVIN.

AT A CONSISTORY COURT HOLDEN AT DOUGLASS FEB : 5, 1754.

Margret Colvin of Douglass having behaved in open Court after a most insufferable and insolent manner, making a jest of the Court and despising Our Admonitions,-For her Insolence herein she is to be forthwith Comitted in St : German's prison until she gives Bonds of £3 ad usum Dei that she will demean herself wth all due Respect to the Court for the future - her fine also to be considered.

To the Sumnr of Douglass and Braddan who if disobey'd is to apply for a Soldier.

Wee Willm Sayle and Jas Kelly Do become bound in the sum of Three pound Ad Usum Domini That Margd Colvin shall behave herself according to the Spirituall Court Order Dated Sth Februry 1754 As Witness my hande at Peele this 29 March 1754.
