EXCURSION TO LONAN, 21 OCTOBER, 1915.

Leader, CANON QUINE.

Twenty-six members and seven visitors attended and visited the cairn at Gretchveg, Keeill Woirrey, Keeill Niglus, the Keeill on Ballannlgyn, and the burial ground on the slope of Lhergy Grawe and Chibbyr Pherick.

The Leader named the Treen lands and described their positions. Each Treen was divided into quarterlands, and he believed the quarterlands found their origin as such in the Roman quaternium or measure of area of 31½ acres, pointing out that quarterlands contained, as a rule, 63, 94 or 125 acres, namely, two, three or four quarterniums.

The following were elected members:--Mr. W. Radcliffe, Miss M. Baxter, Mrs. Gibson, Mrs. Burgess, and Dr. S. Falkner.
