Nine-tenths of the Schools are visited by the Minister of the Parish or District, and not one in twelve visited by the Parents of the Children, and in five cases out of seven Parents pay unwillingly for the instruction of their children.

Nineteen-twentieth of the Teachers give religious and moral instruction to the children, and have the Scriptures read in the Schools: also open and close the School with prayer, and in many cases with singing and prayer,
