[Appendix A(81) 1792 Report of Commissioners of Inquiry]

N° 81.

N° 4

The Duke of Atholl states, That since the Revestment of the Isle of Man in the Crown he has had no legal knowledge of any Acts of Tynwald that have passed in the Isle of Man; especially, that all the acts of 1777 were binding upon him when he first knew of them; and that acts which have since passed, manifestly infringing on his rights, were passed in so secret a manner, that until he officially procured a Copy of them from the Sceretary of State, he did not know their purport.

ATHOLL.
