LETTER from the Speaker of the House of Keys to the Governor, requesting him to convene the Keys.

Peeltown, 12th

WHEREAS my Brethren of the Keys of this Isle have intimated to me the Necessity of their being convened to consult what should be done for the Good of the Community concerning the Affairs of this Isle being now under the Consideration of Great Britain; I therefore apply to your Honour, and request that a Meeting of the Keys may be at Castle Town, on Monday the 18th Instant, for the above Purpose, or, other occasional, Purposes ; and I desire that you will be pleased to give them Notice for said Meeting by issuing Precepts to the Sheading Coroners in the usual Way.
