[From, lowest depths of woe.]

1 VEIH'N diunid ta mee geam
Dy imlee gys my Yee ;
Hiarn clasht rish m'accan ta ayns feme,
As cur ansoor dy hee.

2 My ne'oo goaill eoontey geyre,
O quoi ver dhyt meeteil ?
Agh t'ou pardooney dagh aggair !
Dane nagh jean mee-hreishteil.

3 My annym farkiaght meen,
Son dt'enish, O my Hiarn!
My hreisht ta ayns dty ghialdyn hene,
Goo vees dy bragh er mayrn.

4 She jeeaghyn hood ta mee,
Derrey ne oo hym chyndaa ;
Myr arreyder yn voghrey,
Ta ficau son bristeey'n laa.

5 Lhig Israel nish treishteil
Ayns diunid myghin Yee
Teh stoyr gyn grunt, nagh jean failleil,
T'ayn sauchys beayn as shee.

6 E vyghin ta cha feoilt,
Ayns seaghyn cur livrey,
Farrane ta slaanagh' shin, as coyrt
Nyn voiljyn foddey jeh.
