" He left unto the poor of Arbory all the Money he had in Mortgage in the concerns of Richard Crelling, of Castletown, and also the Money in Mortgage in the concerns of Thomas Quaggin, of Ballasalla, with the interest due on said Mortgages, to be laid out on interest far the use of the said Poor."

Extract from the Will of Wm. Cubbon, A.D. 1806, noncupative.

" He left to the poor of the parish of Arbory twenty pounds, the yearly interest of which is to be paid to the poor of the said parish out of the lands he purchased from John Clark, called and known by the name of Thalloo-ny-Charnane and that the said yearly interest was not to be paid to the poor of said parish so long as his Wife was alive."

The Rev. Henry Maddrell, Vicar of Lezayre, a native of this parish, states that the Misses Stevenson, of Ashley Park, in the county of Surrey, gave or bequeathed to the poor of Arbory £200 Stock, vested in the South Sea Annuities.

The before-mentioned Bequests are at present laid out on the following securities, including (as is presumed) the produce of the Donation or Bequest of Misses Stevenson:
