Archideaconal Will of Quayle Fargher, 1801 - 20

In the Name of God Amen -

I Quayle Fargher late of Snugborough in the Parish of Kk. Braddan but at present of Abbey in the Parish of Malew, Esquire, being of Sound mind and disposing mind, memory and understanding at the making hereof, but considering the uncertainty of this life Do make this cry last Will and Testament in manner following, I Commit my Soul to God and my Body to be buried at the discretion of my Executrix hereinafter named, I leave devise and bequeath unto Esther Fargher my Wife all and Singular that Estate and those Lands Houses and Premises called Snugborough Situate in the Parish of la Braddan aforesaid, and wch I purchased from Patrick Kelly then Coroner of Middle Sheading by Deed dated the day of [blank] in the Year 1788, To Hold the said lands Houses and Premises, wt all ways, waters, watercourses easements Liberties Rights members advantages and appurtenances to the same belonging, or in any wise appertaining or therewith usually held occupied and enjoyed unto her the said Esther Fargher for and during her natural life and upon her decease my will and desire is that the said Lands Houses and Premises with the rights members, Advantages and Appurtenances thereto belonging or in any wise Appertaining shall fall and descend unto Mark Quayle (my Brother in Law) of Liverpool in the County of Lancaster and Kingdom of Great Britain, Merchant and his Heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns, forever, subject to the Payment of Such Sum or Sums of Money as the said Esther Fargher shall in and by her last Will and Testament or other Instrument direct to be paid, so that the said Sum shall not Exceed £200. 0. 0. British -

I leave and bequeath unto Margaret Clucas widow of John Clucas of Balla Nicholas in the Parish of Marown deceased the Sum of Ten Pounds British, I leave unto Elisabeth Kinley Wife of Wm Kinley of Ballanahow in the Parish of KK Santan Five shillings British; I leave and bequeath unto Margaret LeGlace wife of Philip LeGlace of Douglass the Sum of Twenty Pounds British wch sd Sum in to be pd unto the sd Margt whose receipt alone shall be sufficient for the Sum And that the as Sum shall not be subject to the Power or Controul of her sd Husband.

I leave unto Margaret LeGlace, Daughter of the sd Philip LeGlace and Margaret his Wife the Sum of Five Pounds British I leave and Bequeath unto Ann Fargher my Niece the Sum of Five Pounds British.. I leave and Bequeath unto the Three Children of the said Mark Quayle namely, William Quayle, Esther Fargher Quayle and Mark Quayle the Sum of Twenty Pounds British each which said Several Legacies before named are to be paid at the end of twelve Months next after my decease and not sooner; And I do hereby nominate Constitute and appoint my said Wife whole and sole Executrix and residuary Legatee of all my Goods Chattles, and Effects moveable and immoveable of what kind or nature whatsoever and wheresoever hereby revoking and making void all other former will or Wills by me heretofore made and Executed, and do declare this to be my last Will and Testament; In Witness whereof I the sd Quayle Fargher have hereunto Subscribed my name this 30th Day of November in the Year of Our Lord 1809
