Archdeacon Wills 1801 #49, Andreas, of Philip Radcliffe of Andreas:

‘This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Phillip Radcliff of Andreas who departed this life about the 29 of March last past, seems to us to be in perfect mind and memory at the making thereof.
First he committs his soul to God and his body to a Christian burial.
Item, he left to his dear wife Jane Radcliff his right of the bed on which he laid with what belongs to it that she may have it wholly during her life time.
Item, he left to his daughter Jane Radcliff the bed she lies on with what belongs to it and a heifer of two years old and seven pounds British and the two chests that was named on herself and all what goes under her own name whatever.
Item, he left to Elinor Radcliffe, John Radcliffe’s daughter a sheep.
Item, he left to William Mylrea his little chestor what he called ferrin box.
Lastly he nominated and ordained his son John Radcliff sole and wholly executor of all the rest of goods moveable and immoveable what soever.
This 2nd day of April 1081. Witnesses: William Christian, Robert Casement.

At a Chapter Court holden at Lezayre, June 23rd, 1801, the executor is sworn in Court in form of Law and hath given pledges for the payment of debts and legacies namely the witnesses of the will.

At a court holden at KK Michael 6th March 1802, John Harrison brother in law and Thomas Radcliffe uncle’s son of Philip Radcliffe deceased are sworn guardians and supervisors of the Children of the said Philip Radcliffe. To be annexed to the last will and testament of the said Philip Radcliffe of Andreas deceased reamded Libo. Testamen. 1796.’
