Archdeacon Wills 1800 #26, Braddan, of Isabel Kissack als Moore of Douglas, formerly of BallaKissage, Santan:

‘I Isable Kissage of the town of Douglas, widow, formerly of BallaKissage in the parish of Santan, being presently advanced in years and infirm, do make this my last will and testament in manner following. And first, I commend my soul to God and my body to decent and Christian burial at the discretion of my Executrix herein after named. Secondly, I leave and bequeath unto John, William, Thomas and Charles Kissage my four sons the sum of two shillings and six pence British each as legacy. And to Elizabeth wife of Thomas quine, Isable wife of Samuel Quine, and Esther wife of Robert Quine, three of my daughters the sum of two shillings and six pence British each as legacies. Thirdly, I further leave to my said son Thomas over and above the said legacy of two shillings and six pence herein before bequeathed unto him, a coverlid (black and white), a blanket (middling good) and a middling good sheet. And lastly, I nominate, constitute and appoint my dutiful and loving daughter Margaret Kissage spinster now living with me sole executrix of this my last will and testament, and also Residuary Legatee, hereby revoking all former wills by me hitherto made and declaring this to be my last will and testament. At witness my hand or mark to my name this 18 day of March 1793. [signed her mark] Isable Kissage. Witnesses: Robert Moore junior, John Lace. To the Revd. Ewan Christian, one of the Vicar Generals of this Isle, The humble Petition of Margaret Kissack of Douglas; Sheweth, that on or about the 18th January 1800, Isable Kissack late of Ballakissack in the Parish of KK St. Ann, your petitioner’s mother, departed this life leaving your Petitioner her sole executrix and residuary legatee as by her last will and testament may more fully affirm; You Petitioner therefor humbly prays that your Reverence will be pleased to grand an order that the next of kin of the said Isable Kissack do attend xxx your Reverence at a Court to be holden at KK Patrick on Friday the 14th February 1800, as on such day as to your Reverence shall xxx that the Will of the said Isable Kissack may be given according to the regular forms of Law and your Petitioner shall pray etc., etc. Ordered that the before going Petitioner do come to be heard at the Ecclesiastical Court to be holden in the Court house in the Parish of KK Patrick on Friday the 14th of this instant Month, were of all proper parties and persons to have due notice. Given at Douglas 4th February 1800. [signed] Ev. Christian. By virtue of the Revd. Vicar General Christian’s authority granted by the Petitions of Margaret Kissack xxx the 4th February instant, I have xxx Robert Quine & Thomas Kissack & Samuel Quine of Douglas xxx the said Petioner and at the same time charged the said Robert Quine & Thomas Kissack and Samuel Quine as Defendants to appear at the Court house in the parish of Patrick before his Reverence on Friday next by ten o’clock in the forenoon or when called to answer the suit of the said Margaret Kissack the Petitioner this 12th February 1800. Vicar General Christian, ordered and charged John Kissage, Thomas Quine & Elizabeth his wife to appear before you Revnd at a Court to be holden at the house of Thomas Quine in KK Patrick on Friday the 14th February to answer the suit of Margaret Kissage, I aver this the 6th of February 1800, by me [signed his mark] John Knail Sumner of Santan.’
