Archdeacon Will 1777 Book 2 #10, Marown, of Joney Clucas als Corlett of Ballanicholas, wife to William Clucas, died 5 January 1777

 

"This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Joney Clucas als Corlet of Ballanicholas in the parish of KK Marown, who departed this life the 5th day January in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & seventy seven; Being of perfect mind and sound memory when she declared those words sometime before her death in manner following. First, she committed her soul to the Almighty and Ever Blessed God who gave it, & her body to decent Christian burial. Item, she left and bequeathed to her granddaughter Esther Clucas the chest of drawers. Item, she left to her grandson William clucas the sum of twenty shillings, and a wooden box or a small chest. Item, she left to her son William Clucas five shillings. Item, she left to her son Thomas Clucas five shillings. Lastly, she nominated constituted and appointed her beloved husband William Clucas full and whole Executor of all the rest of her goods moveable and immoveable of what kind or nature soever they by, this in the presence of the witnesses namely Robert Kirmod, Thomas Callin. At the Chapter Court holden at Douglas June 10th 1777: The Executor is sworn in Court in form of Law and hath given pledges for the payment of debts and legacies namely Thomas Callin and Robert Kirmod the Witnesses of the Will."
