Archdeacon Wills 1776, #75, German, of John Dawson of Peeltown & Ann Dawson als Crellin, his wife, made 1774:

"The last will and testament of John Dawson of Peeltown and also of his wife Ann Dawson als Crellin, they being at perfect mind and memory at the making hereof. First, they committed their soul to God and their bodies unto Christian burial. Secondly, they leave and bequeath unto their daughter Catharine Dawson all their concerns of houses and gardens in the town aforesaid. Thirdly, they leave and bequeath unto their sons William, Thomas, and Silvester Dawson six pence legacy each. Lastly, they nominated and appointed their daughter Cathrine Dawson whole and sole executrix of all the rest of their effects of what kind or nature so ever excluding and debarring all other claimers with six pence legacy each in testimony whereof they have caused their marks to be fixed to their names this 21st July 1774. [signed, their marks] John Dawson, Anne Dawson als Crellin. Witnesses: Jaine xxx, xxx Christian.

At a Chapter Court holden in Peeltown January 17th, 1776, Ann Dawson one of the testators having departed this life, Catharine Dawson executrix appointed is sworn in Court in form of law, and hath given pledges for payment of debts and legacies namely the witnesses of the will."
