Archdeacon Wills 1767 #56, Andreas, of Daniel Christian of Ballacorry in Andreas:

‘The last will and testament of Danl. Christian of Ballacorrey in the parish of KK Andreas, who departed this life on or about the 14th day of April 1767, being of perfect mind and memory at the making thereof. First, he committed his soul to God and his body to Christian burial. Item, he left to his son Thomas Christian thirty two shillings as legacy. Item, he left to his daughter in law Ellinor Christian five shillings legacy. Lastly, he nominated and appointed his daughter Cathrine Christian sole executrix of all the rest of his goods and effects of what nature or denomination soever. To the witnesses of this will he left a shilling each. Witness:Thomas Casement, Bahee Garret.

At a Chapter Court holden at Lezayre 25th May 1767, the executrix is sworn in Court in form of law and has given pledges gor the payment of debts and legacies, namely Wm. Christian of KK Andreas and Robt Cottier of Lezary.

I Thomas Christian of KK German son of the above testator Daniel Christian do hereby acknowledge to have rec’d at and from the hands of my sister Catharine Christian the above named excutrix the sum of thirty-two shillings being in full the legacy left me by my said father, and I do hereby acquit and release my said sister, Catharine Christian, her executors and assigns thereof forever. At witness my mark to my name this 21st July 1767. [signed his mark] Thomas Christian.’
