Archdeacon Wills 1765 #98, Maughold, of Abigail Graves als Callow, of Ramsey, Maughold:

‘This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Abigail Graves als Callow of the town of Ramsey made the 18th day of February 1765, being of perfect mind and memory at the making hereof and departed this life the 19th of the same instant. First, she committed her soul to God and her body to be decently buried. Item, she left and bequeathed to her niece Judy Fargher all that was upon her shelves except a white earthen basin, a French plate, and white wooden dish or else an earthen dish which she left and bequeathed to her friend Mary Callow of Balneskeig. Item, she left and bequeathed unto Isabel Callow of Ramsey widow her feather bed with all the implements that was then about or upon it, the crook & tongs, her riding hood, her wearing gown stayes and wearing petticoats & her black Callamanky petticoat. Item, she left to Cathrine Quaye daughter of John Quay two caps out of her little box. Item, she left to her daughter Ellinor Willings als Graves all her head linen and Bible if remaining after the funeral charges, and if not her cousin Thomas Fargher as to take the aforesaid Bible and to see her decently buried. Lastly, she nominated appointed and ordained her aforesaid cousin Thomas Fargher whole and sole executor of all the rest of her goods moveable and immoveable of what kind or nature soever and six pence legacy to all cravers. Witnesses: William Kissage, Chatsen[?] Quay.

At a Chapter Court holden at Lezayre 12 June 1765, the executor is sworn in court in form of law and hath given pledges for payment of debts and legacies.’
