Archdeacon Wills 1758 #33, Maughold, of Joney Stowell als Corlett:

‘Maughold: The last will and testament of Joney Stoal als Corlett who committed her soul to God and her body to Christian burial, and as to her worldly goods, she leaves and bequeaths as follows: She leaves to her loving husband John Stoal a cow and a feather bed with bed clothes. She leaves to her Daughter in law Jane Stoal als Callow a new gown. She leaves to her daugher Jane Kneen als Stoal a blue gown and half a calf. She leaves to her grandson James Kneen a yearling or hog. She leaves to her grandson Thomas Corteen a yearling or hog. She leaves to her daughter Isable a riding hood. She leaves to her sister Elinor a sett of caps, and her everyday gown. Lastly, she leaves her daughers Easter and Mary Stoal her co-executrices of all the rest of her effects moveable and immoveable of what kind of denomination whatsomever, and six pence to any person who shall crave any right to destroy this my last will and testament. The 12th of January 1758. Witnesses William Callow, Margret Tear.

At a Court of Correction at Lezayre, February 27th, 1758, the executrix are sworn in Court in form of Law and hath given pledges for payment of debts and legacies namely Ewan Moore and William Callow.’
