The last will & Testament of Bahee Cottier als Cannell of Knock Sharry in KK German who departed this life on or around the twelf day of Septr 1758 being in perfect mind & memory at the making thereof - in mannr following

1st she committed her soul unto God and her body to Christian burial - Item she left & bequeathed to her daughter Mary all her right of the increass of her cattle ? that came of the heifer that John Cottier her father gave & delivered to the sd Mary & brother Thos Cottier.
Itm she left her sd daughter Mary Cottier the double twisted gown, a black gown and her choice of the quilted petticoats. Item she left her daughter Elizabeth Quay als Cottier all the rest of her woollen apparel
Item she left to her Grand daughter Mary Quay one of the young heifers. Itm she left to her grandson John Quay forty shillings to put him to a trade.
Itm she left to her three grandchildren vizt Thos Quay, John Quay & Mary Quay two sheep each Itm she declared that she had lent to her son Philip Cottier one Guinea wch sd ? Guinea she left her part of the same to her two grand children John & Margt Cottier to be equally betwixt them.
Item she left to her husband John Cottier her right of two goats.
Itm she left to her son Philip Cottier six pence legacy.
Lastly she nominated constituted & appointed her two daughters Eliz Quay & Mary Cottier whole & sole exectrs of all the rest her goods & effects moveable & immoveable of what nature soever.

Witnesses John Woods his x Wm Stevenson Jurati

At a chapter court holden at Balnyhown Oct 31 1758 Thos Quay husband of Elizth Quay & Mary Cottier the exrs are sworn in form of law & have given pledges for paymt of debts & legacies namely Capt Wm Stevenson & John Woods the witnesses of this will - They are also sworn to be just to one another in the division of the goods

[] Thos Quay father of Mary Quay agrees & [] into to [] a heifer bequeathed unto sd daur & yt he shall on coming [] have sd heifer & half of increass

Thos Quay husband of Elizth Quay als Cottier daur of the testr came this day to the registry & acknowledged to have recd from Math: Cowle husband of Mary Cottier one of the Exrs all & every the legacies bequeathed as well to his sd wife as to the sd Quay's children & herby acquits & discharges the sd Cowle of all the said legacies & also acknowledges to have fully recd his part or share of the executorship, & for the forthcoming of the legacies due unto his children the sd Thos Quay holds himself obliged & the sd Matth Cowle becomes bound for him according to law - witness their names & marks dated above Thos Quay his mark Matthew Cowle this before me Ja Wilks Ep Regr
