Kk Maughold Novr 3d 1755 John Cowley perished by sea on the coast of Scotland; as by advice received, on or about the 18th of Septr last intestate. The court upon intelligence thereof hath decreed his three children namely Cath: John & Jane Cowley joint adminors of all his goods and chattells moveable & imoveable whatsoever who being all under age the uncles & aunt by the father's side namely Thos, Willm & Margt Cowley are sworn supervisors and consent that the deads part of the three children & their goods be committed to the widow their mother she is accordingly sworn to bring to the registry a perfect inventory as also for paymt of debts according to law - to these ends & for forthcoming of the childrens goods she hath given pledges in form of law namely sd Thos & Wm Cowley their supervisors Decretum est Solvit 10d Ro Radcliffe Matths Curghey 1756 Apr 10 Da Craine claims agt the admrs of Jon Cowley for £0 4 8 Ramsey the 5th day of November 1755 A true & perfect inventory of the goods of John Cowley Junr (who lately perished at sea) apprized by four sworn men by the sumner vizt Robt Cubbon, Danl Joughin, John Balie & John Quay is as follows
