Archdeacon Wills 1748 #96, Lezayre, of William Goldsmith of Balladoole, Lezayre, died 6 Feb 1747/8:

‘KK Christ Lezayre: This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of William Goldsmith of Balladool of this parish of KK Christ Lezayre who departed this life about the six of February 1747 and was all perfect mind and memory at the making of the same. First, he committed his soul to God and his body to a Christian burial. Item, he left to his daughter Elinor two sheep and two lambs. Item, to the witnesses of his will six pence each. Lastly he nominated and appointed his son William sole executrix of all the rest of his goods movable and immovable whatsoever. Witnesses: Edmund Kneale, William Crowe.

At a Chapter Court, the Executor is sworn in Court in form of Law and hath given pledges vizt, Edmund Kneale and William Crowe the witnesses of the will.’
