Archdeacon Wills 1748 #92, Bride, of William Curphey, mariner, died about 10 Dec 1747:

‘KK Bride: The last will and testament of William Curphey mariner who departed this life about the 10^th December 1747, being of perfect mind and memory at the making hereof. First he committed his soul unto God and his body to Christian burial. Item, he left a crown to his son Matthias and a crown to the child on his wife’s bearing. Lastly, he nominated and appointed his loving wife Margaret sole executrix of all the rest of his goods moveable and immovable. Witnesses: Ann Cowle, Joney Tear.

At a Chapter Court, the widow is sworn executrix in form of Law and has given pledges for payment of debts and legacies, namely Charles Moore & John Johnston of Ramsey. The Revd. Nathaniel Curghey the uncle and his sister Mrs. Elizabeth Robinson are sworn overseers.’
