Archdeacon Wills 1748 #103, Lezayre, of Leonora Goldsmith als Cowle of Balladoole, Lezayre, made about 1744:

‘Lennora Goldsmith als Cowle of Balladool and the parish of KK Lezayre about four years ago was sick and weak in body but being at perfect mind and memory and made her last will as here after specified. First, she committed her soul to God and her body to a Christian burial. Item, she left her part of share of the cattle and sheep and her clothes and linen clothes but what is hereafter mentioned to her daughter Ellinor Goldsmith. Item, she left to Jonney Cowll her madle and as much of the stuff that was within or would make her a gown. Item, she left to her daughter in law a petticoat of stuff. Item, she left an ewe to her grandchild William Kneale. Item, she left an ewe to her grandchild Isabel Goldsmith. Item, she left to her loving husband William goldsmith her part of the horses and her part of the bed as William Kneal one of the witnesses only declares. Item, to the witnesses of her will six pence each. Lastly, she nominated and appointed her son William Goldsmith sole executor of all the rest of her goods movable and immovable whatsoever as Daniel Kneal one of the witnesses declares, and Christian Moore the other witness declares that to the best of her memory, the testatrix nominated her husband William Goldsmith executor. Witnesses: Daniel Kneale, Christian Moore.

At a Chapter Court at Lezayre , 4th May, 1748, William Goldsmith husband of the testatrix having died before the probate hereof nominated his son William Goldsmith executor of his last will. Said William is now sworn executor of his mother Leonora Goldsmith, and has given pledges for payment of debts and legacies according to law namely William Kneale Lezayre and William Kural KK Bride.’
