Archdeacon Wills 1745/6 #36, Malew, of Robert Bridson of Ballagary, Malew:

‘The last will and testament of Robert Bridson Ballagary, who committed his soul to God and his body to Christian burial. First, he left and bequeathed six pence legacy to his daughter Jane. Item, he left six pence legacy to his daughter Marriod. Item, he left and bequeathed to his daughter Ellinor half a heifer. Item, he left and bequeathed to his granddaughter (Elizabeth) daughter fo John Nowell half a ewe lamb. Item, he left and bequeathed to his dear loving wife his half of the riding mare. Item, he left six pence legacy to any body that would claim a right to the said goods. He lastly appointed and ordained his loving daughter Alice Bridson sole executrix of all the rest of his goods moveable and immoveable whatsoever. In testimony whereof we have put our marks to our names this 7th of February 1745/6. Witnesses: Robert Callister, Margret Cotter.

The Executrix is sworn in Court in form of Law and hat given pledges vizt., Nicholas Bridson & Christopher Bridson.’
