Costance Radcliffe writes in "A History of Kirk Maughold" p313 under Ballacorkill e Doon - "The son William [of Jon Stole & Kathrine Clague] married Esther Tear, who had been married twice before, and who, being the mother of eight children of three different surnames, has proved a genealogist's delight".

William is probably son of Esther Christian Tear & John Looney m. Mau 1721-08-15 however no baptism yet found - a John Looney was bur Mau 1728-05-21 (Will to be looked at) Esther probably bur Mau 1772-08-12 (+ will - to be looked at)
Children are:
Christin bapt Mau 17241004 - it is possible she m Andrew Crebbin Mau 1747-06-30 but no children located - probably buried Mau 1803-05-06 ?Andrew bur Mau 1784-04-26)
Elleonor bapt Mau 17261001 -it is possible she m John Cottiman Lez 17540629 - 3 children in Maughold

Esther's second (or third) marriage was to William Stole m.Mau 17300117
Children of this 2nd marriage are:
?John bapt Mau 17300725 - looks like an illegitimate child but entry (in igi) is confusing
Robert bapt Mau 17321126
William bapt Mau 17360718

Who the sister Margaret Christian is, is not yet clear - possibly a previous marriage (the name Christian Tear would point to this) or possibly an illegitimate 1st child. The most likely contender is Samuel Christian who is noted as father of Margart Christian bapt Mau 17150708 + Christopher bapt 1717 (but no marriage to Esther found) - Samuel's will is 1720
Margaret Christian m. Peter Corkill at Lon 17361106, Margaret is noted in PR as 'of Maughold' but no note that she under age thus dob probably c. 1715 - their children were:
Thomas bapt Mau 17371229
Samuel bapt Mau 17380228

John Corteen, jnr, of Thalloqueen is young son (bapt 1738) of John Corteen (who was 'cast away on English coast' in Jan 1744/5- ? whilst smuggling) - he married Cath Stole niece of William Stole in 1763.
