Archdeacon Will 1740 #7, Marown, of Catharine Karran als Oates als Kelly, died 4 April 1740:

"KK Marown, April the 11th 1740: The last will and testament of Cathrine Karran als Kelly being of sound and perfect mind and memory at the making thereof, who departed this life the 4th of April 1740 is as followeth: First, she committed her soul to God, and mortal body to Christian burial. Item, she left and bequeathed to her son Thomas Oates six pence legacy. The like to her son Robert and William vizt., six pence apiece. Item, she left six pence apiece legacy to everyone else that might claim lawfully any of her goods. Item, she left to her son and heir William the crop, the husbandry gears and the plow and plowshares, he the said William Karran obliged to take care of the rest of her children. Item, she bequeathed to her son Robert aforesaid a pair of harrows and that her said son Robert should pay to her Executors one pound five shillings and eleven pence being the price of an ox or bullock. Item, she constituted nominated and appointed her three cihldren vizt., Ann, Nicholas and Margret Karren joint Executors of all the rest of her goods moveable and immoveable and she also declared that all the goods that was due to her former husband’s children was paid them. Witnesses:Robert Quayle, Ann Moor als Quilliam.

Margaret one of the Executors being under age, Nicholas and Ann are sworn in form of Law. As also with their brother William overseers of the minor. Her goods are in the hands of William, who with his sister are sworn to bring a perfect Inventory to the Regry. Pledges are Robert Leece and Robert Quayle. A perfect Inventory of the goods and chattels of Cathrine Karran als Kelly of KK Marown lately deceased vizt., April the 4th 1740, as prized by 4 sworn men & Sumner vizt, Thomas Clucas, William Cretney, Robert Key, & Robert Quayle: One ox 1 pound 16 shilling 0 pence; One cow 1:14:0; One heifer 0:12:0; Two sheep 0:3:6; Two barrels and a churn 0:2:0; worsted yarn 0:7:0; Dishes, noggins, spoons &c 0:1:9; A firkin, can, pail & barrel boards 0:1:7; Earthen pots 0:0:; A churn stop & reel 0:0:4; Weight or dollans & wash:staff & spinning wheel 0:1:3; Oats 4 kishans 0:0:10; Barley 0:3:6; Blankets & rugs 0:12:0; Wool 0:1:0; Fine linen 0:6:0; A mare & colt 2:12:0; Shaped linen & woolen 0:13:6; A small piece of camlet 0:0:5; Barragh or hoods, cards, hurden yarn & a pannier 0:0:11; An old tub 0:0:4; Sacks & canvas 0:8:0; Geese with some flax 0:2:0; A griddle 0:0:6; Lime stones, an handkerchief & 4 yards 1/2 kear cloth 0:9:0; Cash 12:0:0. May 8th 1741: Thomas Cubbon enters a claim against the Executors of Kath Carran for the sum of 1 pound 10 shillings 0 pence. December 29th 1744: Ann Carran one of the within mentioned Executors came to the Registry and acknowledged that she had received from her brother Robert her proportion of the five and twenty shillings and eleven pence mentioned in the will and does hereby acquit the said Robert forever for the same. Lezayre October 10th 1753: Margaret Karran arrived at lawful years came to the Registry and acknowledged that she has received from her brother William Karran supervisor her proportion of her deceased mother Cath: Karan’s Executorship as also the legacy bequeathed her in her father William Karran’s last will, and does hereby acquit and discharge him said William Karran of all xxx for the same forever. Before me Matths. Curghey, Regr."
