The Executor nominated in the within Will, being xx transmarine, and no other relation appearing, John Cormoad son in law of the Testator is now sworn to bring to the Registry a perfect inventory of the whole effects, and has given pledges for the forthcoming of the same the witnesses of the will.

At a Chapter Court at Lezayre, November 4, 1740, Mr. Nicholas Cowley & Thomas Radcliffe make xxx that John Crebbin now personally present in Court is the same person who for many years was reputed and looked upon to be the grandchild of John Crebbin late Sumner of KK Andrews, that he left the Island about nine or ten years ago, and that this same person, vizt., John Crebbin was nominated executor by his grandfather mentioned. [signed] N. Cowley, Tho: Radcliffe.

John Crebbin who was nominated the executor of his grandfather John Crebbin of KK Andrews in Libre 1st 1737, in Archivis Archdeacon, having returned to the Island, is now sworn in Court in form of Law, and has given pledges Mr. Nicholas Cowley & Thomas Radcliffe, upon which the pledges given by John Cormode the Executor in trust are released.’

The grandson John Crebbin is also called the nephew of John Crebbin (presumably the sumner’s son), but is he actually the son of this John Crebbin (?with mother Joney Sayle); OR could he be an illegitimate son of a dau of Sumner Jn (2nd conjecture is doubful)
