Arbory Nov 26th 1733
In the name of God amen I Isabel Shimmin als
Moor being sick & weak in body but of a sound mind &
perfect memory blessed be God, do make this my last will &
testament in matter & form as hereafter follows.
First I commend my soul to God & my body to be decently
interred in the church-yard of Kk Malew. I leave and bequeath
to Ann Christian als Scarff wife of Patrick Christian
my every day manteau & petticoat. I will & bequeath to John
Shimmin my step-son three pounds sterling. Item I leave and
bequeath unto my son John Duckan wth the consent of my
husband Thomas Shimmin our house and garden in Miln street 
in Castletown purchased by us from Harry Quayle of the sd town
being of the annual Lord's rent of seven pence or thereabout
Itm I leave unto my D son John Duccan three pounds sterling
Itm to Bahey Cain my best suit of cloathes Itm my second best
suit to Margt Cain Itm my best every day suit to my sister
Katherine Nelson Itm I leave to my D sistr Katharine five
shilling yearly to be pd her by my exectrs during her natural 
life. Itm I leave & bequeath unto my loving husband Thomas
Shimin all my right title & interest in the houses, gardens
& appurtenances relating to them recently in the occupation
of the Reverend Mr Ross as also my right to the house
purchased from Thomas Woods in Castletown and my right &
title to Cot-y-begg and also my right & interest in the houses
in Balla-Salley wth their gardens & other apputenances 
[crossed thru text] Itm I leave to my husband
the bed on wch I lie wth it stands. Itm I leave & bequeath
my part of thirty shillings wch is in the hands of Margt Cain
my eldest daughter to the children wch she had by her first husband
to Elizabeth Waterson my grand daughter a red petticoat, an apron
& a sheep.To John Waterson my grandson a sheep  To Wm Watterson
my grandson a choice Iron Crow  to Thomas Waterson my
grandson half a heifer going in three year. Lastly I nominate institute
& appoint my son-in-law Wm Watterson & Elizabeth Waterson
his wife sole & joint execrs of all the rest of my effects
moveable & immoveable whatsoever. I leave to the Clerk Jn 
Clague 1s 8 & I leave Jo Quayle vicar 5s
