Archdeacon Wills 1731 #27, Maughold, of Joney Corkill als Taggart als Corkill, died 15 Sept[?] 1731:

"Maughold: This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Joney Corkill of KK Maughold who departed this life the 15th of xxx 1731, being of good and perfect mind and memory; she commited her soul to God and her body to Christian burial. First, she left to her son John Taggart a big chest and a big wooden wheel. Item, she left to her said son’s wife Jane Taggart and to her daughter Cathrine Creetch als Taggart all her shaped apparel both woolen and linen equally betwixt them. Item, she left to Isabel Kermode & Margret Corkill a burse[?] or kerchief to each of them, and to the witnesses hereof sixpence apiece. Item, she left 6 pence apiece to everyone that would sue to break this her last will. Lastly, she nominated and appointed her dear loving husband William Corkill sole executor of all the rest of her goods moveable and unmoveable of what nature soever. Witnesses: John Kermode, Ewan Corkill.

The Executor sworn in Court according to Law, and gave pledges the witnesses of the will."
