Archdeacon Will 1724 #75, Ramsey, Maughold, of John Sumpter of Ramsey, died 17 January 1724:

"Ramsey 1724: This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of John Sunter of Ramsey who departed this life January the 17th, 1724, being of good & perfect memory he committed his soul to God and his body to Christian burial. Item, he left and bequeathed his houses, gardens and backsides in Ramsey to his daughter Jane as was willed by his deceased wife formerly. Item, he left a big chest to his daughter Margaret as legacy. Item, he left to the witnesses hereof 6 pence apiece. Lastly, he left and appointed his above said daughter Jane Sunter sole Executrix of all the rest of his goods moveable and unmoveable of what nature soever. Witnesses: John Woods, William Kerrish. The Executrix sworn in form of Law. Pledges, the witnesses of the will."
