Archideaconal Will 1720 #56, Andreas, of Patrick Teare

This is affirmed to be the last will & testament of PATRICK TEARE who departed this life the 6th February 1720, being in perfect mind & memory at the making thereof.
First he committed his soul to God, and his body to Xtian burial.
Item, He left his half of the bought land to his WIFE JONEY; till his SON arrived to twenty one years; and then his said SON JOHN was to enjoy the same.
Item, he left his DAUGHTER JONEY the little pot, & big chest.
Item, He left to his BROTHER THOMAS a russet coat.
Item, He left to his neighbour WM QUIRK a pair of breeches.
Item, He left to the witnesses a yearling apiece, if they were remaining; and if not, some other thing.
Lastly, He constituted & appointed his WIFE & THREE CHILDREN vizt., JONEY, JOHN and WILLIAM TEAR joint Execrs of all the rest of his goods movable & immovable. He declared that he owed to Edmond Cowle about 2s. And to Mitchel Cowle 10d, & that his WIFE knew the rest of his debts. Witnesses: Willm Tear, Mitchel Cowle, jurati.

The Execrs are under age the MOTHER with their UNCLE THOMAS TEAR are sworn in form of Law. Probatum est & Solvit 12d. The goods & children in the MOTHERs hands, who hath given pledges Mitchel Cowle & [no name written].

THE INVENTORY BROUGHT IN BY the Sumner, vizt. Immovable goods on ye Dead;s part 1 pound : 05 shillings : 08 pence; Movable goods on yue Dead's part 2:01:04. The crop to be added at Michaelmass."
