The last will of MARY JOYNER als CANNEL who departed this life ye 15th day of January 1703, & being in perfect mind & memory expressed her self the 3d day of ye same month as follow:
First, she bequeathed all ye portion her FATHER promised her in contract (being the whole of her effects, inregard shw as not a year and a day married) equally betwixt her HUSBAND & HER CHILD; & in case the child should dye, that ye HUSBAND should have ye whole.
Item, she left to her 3 SISTERS JONY, CHRISTIN & DOROTHY each 5 shillings. Witnesses: Wm Walker, xxxx Murrey. Probatum est et solvit 1s.

THIS 23 AUGUST 1704: THE INVENTORY of the goods and chattels of the late deceased MARY JOYNER ALIAS CANNELL of the towne of Duglas prised by 4 sworne men viz, Robt Kelley, John Bridson, Gilbert Chubbin & Willm Flexney as followeth:
Imprimis, 2 rugs 10s,2 blanquets 6s 00 pounds : 16 shillings : 00 pence;
Itt one dussen napkins 4s, two fine sheets 6s, two course sheets 2s, 6d two pillobeares cases 00:13:06;
Itt, one feather bed & boulster weight 40 at 3d per pound 00:10:00;
Itt, one table cloath 00:02:00; Itt, two pound worstead yarne 00:02:06;
Itt, her weareing Apparrell 01:00:00; Itt, her linen weare 00:10:00;
Itt, one black hood and scarfe 00:14:00; Itt, one bible 00:02:00;
Itt, one mutton 00:02:00; Itt, one little wheel 00:02:00;
Itt, 3 pound unheckled flax 00:00:09; Itt, one heifer 00:12:00;
Itt, one chest of drawers 01:00:00; Itt, one ould rydeing hoode 00:01:00;
Itt, one silver spoone 7s, one ringe 9s 00:16:00;
Itt to cash 20:00:00; [total] 27:03:09.

Deductions to be taken out of ye Inventory to funeral charges 01:10:06.

The Child & goods in ye Fathers hands who hath pledges Wm Flaxney & Robt Kelly according to Law.

I DOE ACKNOWLEDGE TO HAVE RECEIVED from the hands of my FATHER THOMAS JOYNER the sum of twelve pounds being all the goods that was left to me by my MOTHER as witness my hand this eight of Aprill 1729, MARGRET JOYNER my X.
