"Duglas: In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, Amen. I John Vinch being sick of body but in perfect memory do make this my last will and testament in manner and form as followeth. And first bequeath my soul to God who gave it me in hope of a glorious resurrection in and through the merits of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, my body to be decently buried in a Christian manner. Item, I leave to the poor five shillings. Item, I leave to my brother Philip two sheep and my wearing appearal. Item, I leave to my daughter Margaret twenty xxxx[pence] in goods and moneys. Item, to my daughter in law Jeann[?or Jane] one steer. Item, to my grandchild. Item, to my grandchild Thomas Vinch two yearling sheep. Item, I do also constitute my three children John, Katherin and Margrat equal Executors of the rest of my goods moveable and unmoveable. In presence of Thomas Kelly, John Cannell, jurati. The Executors at age sworn in Court in form of Law. Probatum est. Pledges to secure the office and pay all debts Dan: Xtian and John Cannell."
