Archdeacon Will 1699/1700 #27 Patrick of Thomas Halsall, died 18 November 1699:

"This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of THOMAS HALSALL who departed this life about the 18 of November 1699, being in perfect mind and memory at the making thereof. First he committed his soul to God and his body to Christian burial. Item, he left to his SON RICHARD half a cow as a legacy. Item, he left to his SON JOHN a quarter of a cow. Item, he left to his SON SILVESTER half an heifer as a legacy. Item, he left to his DAUGHTER COONEY a cow, and two sheep if there any remaining. Item, he left to his DAUGHTER KATHERINE an heifer of a year and a half old, and two sheep, and to be cut off from claiming any more right to his goods. Item, he left to his SON WILLIAM his land, houses, crop of corn, with all gears thereunto belonging; and also left him a quarter of an ox as a legacy. Item, he left to Mr SAM: WATLEWORTH a lamb. Item, It was his desire that his SON WILLIAM should take care of his blind brother RICHARD and not to see him want, in consideration the lands were left to him. Item, he left to his DAUGHTER COONEY an heifer instead of 14 shillings he owed her. Item, he left a mutton to be distributed to the poor at All Saints Day next. Lastly, he appointed his four CHILDREN RICHARD, JOHN, SILVESTER & COONEY his true and lawful Executors of all the rest of his goods moveable and unmoveable what soever. Witnesses: John Quirk, John Quilliam.

THE EXECUTORS AT AGE are sworn in form of Law. Pledges in form of Law, the witnesses of the will."
