Archdeacon Will 1700 #72, Lezayre, of Margaret Friar als Fayle, died about beginning of April 1700:

"KK Christ Lezayre: This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Margret Fayle who departed this life about the beginning of April 1700. First, she committed her soul unto God and her body to Christian burial. Item, she left to her husband a waistcoat and drawers of flannel then in the house, and a shirt of coarse linen cloth. Item, she left to her sister Isable a sheep and lamb. Item, she left to her daughter Margery all her shaped linen and a black petticoat. Item, she left her eldest daughter all her houses and lands, and all the rest of her goods to her children Margery and Margaret, to be expended towards their bringing up. Witnesses: William Callow, Margaret Quark.

The Inventory amounts to 2 pounds 6 shillings 5 pence.

The Father being dead also, the next of kin vizt., Thomas Bell, Henry Bell, & Patrick Friar on the father’s side, & Isable Fail on the mother’s side are sworn supervisors in form of Law; and have given pledges for the good usage of the children and forthcoming of their goods if any be, the one for the other, and Edmond Faile for Isabel Fail, according to Law.

Debts to be deducted out of the Inventory: funeral charges 0 pounds 2 shillings 2 pence; more 0:1:2; for half a cows pasture 0:1:6; to the Moar 0:2:0; Sumner fees 0:0:4; for tobacco and candles 0:0:3; more to Ew: Crow 0:1:2; for a main[?] gross 0:0:xx; More, two pence 0:0:2; for plowing 0:0:6; bowl fed[?] 0:1:2; due to Isabel Fail 0:4:6; rent xxx; Item, 4 shillings more added being the priced corn and her things; Clear Inventory is 1 pound 6 shillings 8 pence.

November 13th, 1700: John Kirmeen enters against the Executors of William Friar and his wife Margaret Fail for 9 shillings 5 pence."
