Archdeacon Will 1698/9 #34, Ballaugh, of Isabel Corlett als Allen, died 12 July 1698:

"Ballaugh: This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of ISABLE CORLETT ALS ALLEN who departed this life the 12 of July 1698. Imprimis, she committed her soul to God and her body to Christian burial. Item, she bequeathed to her ELDEST SON AND HEIR her half of the crop and team of oxen. Item, to her other FOUR CHILDREN ten pounds sterling apiece. Item, to her NIECE EASTER CHRISTIAN a heifer that was at grass in KK Michael and so much of the stuff at the weavers as will be her a mant with her black gown in the prest. Item, she left the tuition of her children to her beloved HUSBAND and constituted him her whole and sole Executor of all the rest of her goods and chattels. And nominated her UNCLE WILLIAM CORLETT and her BROTHER THOMAS ALLEN supervisors of her said children.

Witnesses: Thomas Allen, William Corlett.

THE TESTATRIX FURTHER DECLARED before us that if her SON AND HEIR JOHN departed this life before he enjoyed the Estate without issue, and the NEXT SON THOMAS come to be heir, that then the legacy bequeathed to the said THOMAS this will shall become due to the rest of the other children. Witnesses: Thomas Curlet, William Curlet.

THE EXECUTOR WITH THE NEXT OF KIN on the mother's side, vizt., Mr. SAMUEL ALLEN, MR. ROBERT ALLEN, AND MR. ROBERT CHRISTIAN, AND WILLIAM CURLET mentioned in the will sworn in Court in form of Law. Pledges to secure the office and pay all debts and legacies according to Law Mr. Thomas Allen and William Curlet."
