Archdeacon Will 1697/8 #35, Lezayre, of Mr Ewan Curghey, died 17 Dec 1697:

"Lezayre: Mr. EWAN CURGHEY departed this life about the 17th of December last intestate, whereof the Church having intelligence hath decreed his ONLY DAUGHTER HESTHER CURGHEY Administrator of all his goods moveable and unmoveable whatsoever. And the HUSBAND JOHN CURGHEY accordingly sworn in form of Law, and a Legacy to the WIFE upon sight of the Inventory.

NOVEMBER THE 3RD 1698: ROBERT ALLEN enters his claim against the Administrator of Mr. EWAN CURGHEY for the sum of 2 pounds 10 shillings, due as appears by specialty, and craves trial.

DECEMBER THE 8TH 1698: HUGH CARRAN enters his claim against the Administrator of Mr. EWAN CURGHEY for the sum for fourty shillings, being the consideration money of a parcel of bogg land lying near Ramsey due &c.

JUNE THE 14TH 1698: MR. DAVID MURREY xxxx enters against the Executors of Mr. EWAN CURGHEY JUNIOR of Ballakillangan.

JUNE THE 18TH 1698: MRS MARGARET CHRISTIAN entersher claim against the Executors of Mr. EWAN CURGHEY JUNIOR for the sum of seven pounds due. She enters also against the said Executors for 5 shillings due &c.

JUNE THE 18TH 1698: MRS. ELLINOR CHRISTIAN ALS QUAILE enters her claim against the Executors of Mr. EWAN CURGHEY JUNIOR of Ballakillangan for the grassing of 4 cows and horse xxxx duc &c. And also for the sum of 11 pounds due."
