Archdeacon Will 1675/6 #103 Santan, of Christopher Quay:

"KK St Anne, the 8th of January 1675: In the name of God amen. I Christopher Quay sick and weak in body but whole and perfect in memory praised be God do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following. First he committed his soul to God and his body to Christian burial. Item, I leave unto the vicar one mutton for all his trouble he appointed and ordained his loving wife Isabel Quay alias Craine sole Executor of all the rest of his goods moveable and unmoveable whatsoever I have my said wife paying all my debts and looking carefully to my children also he appointed William Bridson and Robert Brew overseers of his children. Witnesses to this my last will William Bridson & Hugh Conara[?] In regard that he left no legacy to his children, therefore the Court hath decreed his children joint Executors with the mother: & Margaret hath resigned up all her interest in goods & children unto ye mother. The Mother is sworn in Court & Margaret supervisor. The goods in the mother’s custody and have given pledges in form of law Finlo Kneel & William Bridson."
