July the 22th 1659 In the name of God Amen, I Ellinor Gike alias Bridesonne being sick in body, but of perfect memory praised be God, doe make this my last will 7 testament as followeth;
in primis I coment my soule to God & my body to Christian buriall,
Item, I leave according to the ussual custome a firlet of mault & a firlet betwixt oaten meale and wheaten flower to be bestowed on my friend & poore at Alhallowride, & this to be performed by my eldest sonne Richard Bridsonne;
item, more I leave to my said sonne & his 4 children 5s betwixt them all to each of them a shilling & one of them to himself for a legacy;
item I leave to my brother Robert Gilke 2s legacie & to my sister margrett Gike 2s, & a white peticote.
Item more there is a loan upon the barne wch my sonne Phillip bought & was at charge of himselfe, therefore I leave it to my said sonne Phillip.
Lastly, I constitute & appoint my said sonne Phillip my lawfull executor of all the rest of my goods moveable and unmoveable.
