Sir John Cosnahan, late Vicar of Kirk St Anne, being Minister of the said Parish 38 years, departed this life the 24 June 1656, and was buried the next day in the yard under the great broad stone, . . . Sir Hugh Cosnahan, minister buried September 25, 1690, under the great stone in his father’s grave. Vicar of the Parish 23 years. The Reverend John Cosnahan, son of Sir Hugh, who was Vicar of this Parish about 34 years, and aged 56 years. Xxx in his father’s and grandfather’s grave under the great stone in the yard. He departed this life the 14 April and was interred the 16th, 1724. The Reverend Mr John Cosnahan, Vicar [General] and Vicar of Kirk Braddan, buried the 29 June 1749. Margaret Cosnahan alias Quillian alias Joiner from Malew, buried the 11 March 1764. The Reverend Joseph Cosnahan, Vicar of Kirk Braddan, was buried under the great stone, September 22, 1768, aged 43 years. The Reverend Julius Cosnahan, Vicar of Kirk Braddon, buried 26 August 1786. Mrs. Margaret Cosnahan alias Caesar, wife of the Reverend Joseph Cosnahan, Vicar of Kirk Braddon, was buried the 5 February 1760. Anne Cosnahan, relict of the late Vicar [John] Cosnahan was buried the 7 January 1770, and to the memory of John Spittall, who married Dorothia Tenison, (gdau of) the above Julius Cosnahan, who departed this life 28 October 1827, aged 40 years.

To the memory of William Barton Tenison of Ballahot and of the county of Monaghan, Ireland, departed this life 21 December 1795, aged (5)0 years. He married Margaret, daughter of the Rev Joseph Cosnahan of this Isle. Here likewise interred are three sons of the above marriage, Thomas, Norbury and Henry who died in infancy. Also Dorothy, daughter of the William Barton Tenison by a former marriage died 19 February 1790, aged 19 years.

Also in memory of John Curphey of Cordeman, Malew, who departed this life January 18, 1865, aged 51 years. Also in memory of three children of the above named John Curphey of Cordeman: Ann departed this life January 5, 1848, aged 2 years; Mary Jane departed this life November 1, 1849, aged 3 years and 6 months; Thomas Cleave departed this life April 6, 1864, aged 3 months.

 

Beneath this stone are deposed the remains of Ann Curphey alias Brew, wife of John Curphey, junior, departed this life the 7 April 1816, aged 26 years. Beneath are also deposited the remains of the above mentioned John Curphey, formerly of this parish, who departed this life on the 13 day of January anno dommi 1841, in the 60 year of his age.

 

In memory of William Moore Gick of Ballagriggin, who departed this life on the 23 August 1850, in the 33rd years of his age.

In affectionate memory of William, son of William Morrison and Jane, his wife, and brother of the adjoining Henry, who departed this life July 19, 1876, aged 23 years.

In loving memory of Henry Preston of Cronk prove [? froy] in this parish, who died February 16, 1875, aged 78 years.

To the memory of Christopher Kinley of Balnahown in the pariish of Kirk Santann, who departed this life April 8, 1764, aged 76 years. In loving memory of Annie, third daughter of Cleave and Catherine Kinle of Ballahowin, who died June 24, 1881, aged 34 years. Also Emily Margaret Kinley born 9 March 1868, died 26 February 1900.

Sacred to the memory of William Kinley, advocate of Peel, son of Philip and Esther Kinley, who departed this life on the 4 January 1846, aged 48 years. Also to the memory of Annie Kinley, daughter of Philip and Esther Kinley, who departed this life on the 5 July 1841, aged 33 years. Also Cleave Kinley, of Ballahowin, born May 12, 1810, died September 12, 1883. Also of Catherine, wife of the above Cleave Kinley born September 18, 1818, died December 22, 1892.

Jane Lyons, daughter of Samuel Lyons of Bangor on Ireland and Margaret Lyons alias Brew, his wife, departed this life the 12 April 1831, aged 15 years.

 

Here lieth Jane Bridson, wife of C Bridson (Cosnahan) of Rogan-Moore, who ----- the 18 January 1780, also [aged] 79 years.

Here lie the remains of Christopher Bridson, who died Oct 23, 1784, aged 90 years.

Also Margaret, daughter of the above named, who died in New Zealand, August 11, 1876, aged 23 years. Also Elizabeth, daughter of the above named, who died November 8, 1876, aged 19 years.

In loving memory of our dear Uncle Frederick Sayle, who died February 18, 1895, aged 50 years. Also William Sayle, brother of the above, who died October 26, 1905, aged 68 years.

Sacred to the memory of John Quine of Ballafurt, who died on the 12 Sept 1831, aged 80 years. Also Judith Quine, wife of the above, who died on the 12 of December 1799, aged 48 years.

In memory of Ann, wife of Thomas Quine of this parish, who died 21 Dec 1888, aged 59 years. Also the above named Thomas Quine, died Oct 5, 1900, aged 72 years.

 

This stone is erected by John and Esther Quine of Glentrough in memory of John Quine, their son who departed this life on the 18 day of May 1824, aged 7 years and 9 months. Also of their daughter Esther Quine who departed this life on the 29 September 1826, aged 9 months. Also of Jane Kelly, wife of Robert Kelly of Douglas, merchant, and daughter of the above named John and Esther Quine, who departed this life the 20 Sept 1841, in the 18th year of her age.
