Elnar Robinson aged 34 yeares or thereabouts sworne & examineth
concerning what she heard her father Mr William Quayle relate
and confess touching a contract given her brother Mr Robt Quayle be=
fore marriage deposseth & saith: That there being a marriage to be
solemmized betwixt John Murray junior & her selfe; John Murrey
senior & Margaret his wife with her father & mother did meet (she
not being prsent, and there make a contraction; wch being prfected
her said father came & told this depont saying Nelly John Murrey
& his wife hath given their son John & you a contraction to the
very same purport and effect that I & yor mother gave Robin
for they have given ye the house which they bought of widdow Vinch
in possession. And you are not to enter into the dwelling house
they live in with ye gardens cellar & milne in KK Lonan till
they be both dead, and then to enjoy them surrendering up Vinches
house to whom they shall will it. As Robin is not to have this
house, Ballabeg, nor ye meadow till yor mother and I be dead
And this deposnt further saith that she heard her father frequently
& many tymes after relate ye same in his discourse even to
his death, she still living with him And upon his deathbed he
charged her to live with her mother in the house & not to
leave her. All this she relates to be true in every pticular
by vertue of her oath As witness her hands
