South Side Sale, May 1762 #91 Malew

John Kinley to Thomas Kinley

Articles of Settlement made between John Kinley
of Nock Doo in the parish of KK Malew on the one
part and Thomas Kinley his Eldest son and Heir on the 
other part  is as follows

First	It is agreed upon that I the sd John Kinley Doth
Settle and Estate upon my said son Thos Kinley the one
half of my Estate or Tennement of Nock doo half the
Crop two plow beast & half the Husbandry gears, to commence
or possess at Michealmas next ensuing the date hereof
and the other half of my sd Estate or Tennemt with
Husbandry gears after my Death or Discease

Secly	It is agrees upon that I the said John Kinley Doth
further settle upon my said son as Inheritance the
the one half of all the Lands wch I Purchased from
John Bell of Ballaquayle free & debtless commencing
as afforesd and the other half of the said Purchased 
Lands with the croft at Ballasalla adjoyning Widow 
Quorck & Thomas Norris’s Land after my sd Discease
saving and Reserving to my self or own Disposal
that Purchase called Lince’s Close

Thdly 	It is agreed upon that I the said Thomas Kinley 
Doth give unto my said Father Jon Kinley in
Leiu or consideration of the before going settlement
the full and Just sum of Thirty four pounds (viz)
Twenty Two pounds on or before the Possession of
the premises and the other Twelve pound to be paid
unto my sd Father’s Execrs.

Fourthly and Lastly for the True and faithfull performance
of all and singular the Covenants and Articles

Herein Contained we the said John Kinley and
Thomas Kinley Do bind ourselves our Heirs
Execrs admrs and assignes in the penalty and
forfeiture of Three Hundred pounds in Nature 
of all Fines within this Isle to be Levyed accord
ing to Law in testimoney whereof we have this
Day set our Marks to our Names this 8th of
May 1755  John Kinley my X

                 above Articles of Settlement
                 to be their Voluntary Act

The within and above Articles of Settlement being acknowledged
before the Deemster and now openly published in Court and no
Objection offered against it  The same is therefore allowed of
