This is the third book post Act of Settlement (previous were 1706, 1709) - entries shown {} were underlined in the original and indicate that a change in this entry is to be made in the next book - a few of these have for example o1718 which indicate that a change passed through the court in October 1718 (usual court months were May and October). The original had the rents (in Roman numerals) above the party paying - these are given here in in modern notation and an extra ',' inserted to demarcate the several tenants for each part. Likewise the totals for each treen are also given here in modern notation - remember that there were 12d to 1 s and 20s to £1 (all rents were thus in English currency though at this period an English silver sixpence was worth 7 pence Manx currency (and in one deed is actually referred to as a seaven pence coin)).
Changes were noted in Lib Vast - note also that many entries were copied from one book to the next 'formerly on the rent of' can refer back to early 17th Century!
The names of the quarterland farms are not given - see listing in appendix K of 1515 Manorial Roll. Some names are distinguished by appending the quarterland farm associated with that person.
